Grant Schneider founded Performance Development Strategies to help
organizations grow and maintain a competitive advantage by developing and
more effectively utilizing the skills of the people in their
organizations. Long-term success will belong to those organizations
that can meet their challenges faster and better than their
competitors.
Grant Schneider is a 30 year veteran of human
resources and employee development. During his corporate career, he
has helped people develop their potential by coaching them to establish
goals for personal growth as well as organizational
achievement.
His previous experience includes Chief People Officer
for the Briad Group which operates the largest TGI Friday’s restaurant
chain as well as operating Wendy’s restaurants and Marriott hotels.
During his tenure at Briad he successfully facilitated the post merger
integration of services of two equal sized pre merger organizations.
Later he helped define corporate mission and cultural pillars to put the
company on track to become an employer of choice.
Grant’s prior experience includes Director of HR for Brunschwig &
Fils, an international distributer of fine decorative fabrics and home
furnishings. He was HR Manager at Sears in addition to holding
positions in merchandising and training and development. He has also
done management consulting for MacDermid, a chemical manufacturer, Kraft
Foods Credit Union, and Community Connect, an Internet social networking
company.
Grant has served in numerous community and professional
volunteer leadership roles. He served on the Westchester County
Private Industry Council. He is a past president of the Westchester
Human Resource Management Association as well as past Executive Director
of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management and has served
on the Society for Human Resources’ national panel for HR Metrics and
Human Capital Measurement. Grant has also worked with college
students, most notably as leader for several years of the HR college games
between college students of major universities.
